Weight-loss-friendly high-protein foods
Dietitians recommend protein-rich diets for weight loss. Salmon & shrimp add protein, while black beans are good for vegetarians.
Choose quinoa or whole-grain breads over white bread & low-fat dairy.
Peanut butter has protein, "healthy" fats, & few carbohydrates. "Peanut butter is my favourite high-protein weight loss snack," registered dietitian nutritionist Rebecca Stib told Insider.
"A serving (usually 2 tablespoons) contains 8 grammes of protein." Registered nutritionist Jenn Fillenworth told Insider that eggs help lose weight.
Eggs have vitamins & minerals & 6 grammes of high-quality protein with all the essential amino acids.
"Salmon is my favourite weight-loss food," Fillenworth told Insider. She said eating the appropriate kind of fat, like salmon, doesn't necessarily make you gain weight.
Since humans can't make omega-3 fatty acids, fish is a good source. Fillenworth said black beans are her preferred weight-loss plant-based protein.

Registered nutritionist Sabrina Russo urged Insider to look for low-calorie, high-quality high-protein foods for weight loss. Lean meat, fowl, & fish are her first thoughts.
These provide full protein with few carbohydrates & fat. Russo told Insider that high-protein nuts & whole-grain items are also good.
